- Get a domain
- Install WordPress
- Install security certificates, e.g. from Let’s Encrypt.
- Familiarize yourself with the WordPress
/wp-admindashboard to administer your new website:- You can create new categories for the blog posts in Posts > Categories
- To change the default post category, go to Settings > Writing > Default Post Category, and update the dropdown to a new category instead of the default Uncategorized.
